Raw Material Laboratory
The main input material to this department is 8mm copper rod, PVC, PE, XLPE Insulation and over sheath granules, strips of PP, strips of AL foil, copper tape, Armour wires including Aluminum and Galvanized Steel, Aluminum Copolymer,.... In this section, with conformance to National and International Standards and controlling procedures and based on Material Specification (MS), raw materials are measured and tested against the requirements of specifications before being admitted to the production process cycle. All the measurements and test results obtained are then documented and sent to the raw material warehouse of the company.
For the purpose of monitoring the raw materials' warehouse, a unique ID is specified for each party of material
indicating the date of entering to the warehouse.
Typical tests carried out on the materials are such as: |
- Material appearance and packaging
- Measurements of material 's Tensile Strength and Elongation at Break
- Insulation Resistance for the insulating materials
- Thermal Stability and Aging
- MFI testing
- Density testing
- Zinc Coating testing
Processing Laboratory
The measurements and sample testing carried out in this section are governed with design and their respective procedures and quality controls specified in the design of the product (Quality Plan). The test results obtained are compared to standards specifications and the quality control process in place.
The main quality gate is the compliance of the specifications to the requirements of the standards.
Final Product Laboratory
The final product produced in this section is then compared and measured against the product specifications, product requirements and quality procedures and resulting measurements and observations are then documented.
Typical tests carried out in this section include electrical tests such
as: |
- Voltage testing
-
Short Circuit testing
- Resistance testing
- Capacity testing
- Characteristic Impedance testing
Packaging Laboratory
After finalizing the production process, the cables and wires are rolled, and a metal plate is used for naming and identification of the products. The rolled cables and wires are then packaged and are stored in the outbound warehouse of the company for delivery to the customers.
